Intro
I somehow got into an in-depth discussion of pocket knives over at another forum (where we usually discuss lasers, not knives). One member posted a short YT video of his Microtech Scarab and boy, was I blown away... . This is not your father's pocket knife...lol. Then comes the next one, posting pics of his MT Lightfoot LCC D/A... omg! So I was thinking I had to get a closer look at this hobby and these "works of technical art". I ran down to a local knife (& cutlery) store and picked up my very first D/A, the Böker Plus V&D Express.

I just got the Stag Kiwi 3 earlier this week and it will be going out on a passaround soon (the sign up is open over at the passing lane forum), and thought I would post a quick review/initial impressions.

I just got the CRKT K.I.S.S. Assist from GPKnives.com. The box is a nice cardboard with the CRKT logo neatly prin... Just kidding. Here's my $0.02...

My initial impression is that it is clean and smooth like other CRKT knives I have had. Fit and finish is what I have come to expect with no burrs or rough edges and the blade has no play in it. Notice that the bottom corner of the blade is not sharpened which I noticed would probably snag or cut my thumb on closing the blade. The matte body coating is exactly like my Snap Lock but the blade is more polished and a little thicker. It is obviously flat on one side to sit flush on the body.

After much reading over specs and looking at knife reviews on line, I decided to buy a Zero Tolerance 0200 for my heavy duty folder/edc/survival slot in my knife collection. If your looking for a survival folder you can count your life on,..the ZT 0200 is your knife. The knife came sharp but not wicked sharp as I prefer so a couple of strokes on the ceramic rods and the 154cm blade was good to go.

SO I am on the 10th day of using the Spyderco Street Beat & I really like this knife! I am lucky enough to get to use it courtesy of the KF & spyderco Passaround! The SB came in razor sharp! The VG10 blade held a good edge as I mainly used it for boxes, letters. I did try the blade against some wood sticks in the yard & it didn't do as good as a convexed blade but that's okay, not all knives need to be for woods or survival. No damage was done but I didn't want to try to hard on the passaround knives. I did do some minor kithcen work with this.

These is more my initial impressions than a review of the new C81GP2 Spyderco Para Military 2 that Rocky National ( http://www.rockynational.com/ ) has been kind enough to provide us for a passaround in the Passing Lane forum.

I’m writing a review of the AKC Large Tactical Leverletto.

Hey everybody, I've read so much from this website it's time that I give a little bit back.

I recently purchased a Benchmade 943 Osborne folder from LApolicegear. It was really a birthday present, I just got to pick out what I wanted. I think I may have my grandmothers name engraved on it as a reminder of where it came from.I'll steal most of the text and a couple of pictures from my blog. I'm also planning on touching on this knife again after I have carried it for a while.
